Often times, the best medium to get you into the cabin with us is video, like this one that AMG just released of the 2013 Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Coupe Black Series lapping Laguna Seca.
Shot during the 2013 C63 AMG Black’s press debut at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, this video is no more than four minutes and forty one seconds of tire screeching and a glorious V-8 bellowing. That V-8 of course is AMG’s 6.2-liter 510-hp and 457 lb-ft of torque V-8, which uses parts from the SLS AMG to give the C63 Black an edge over the standard (but still awesome) C63 AMG coupe.
Unfortunately, we don’t have any official lap times for Laguna Seca, following yesterday’s report of the C63 Black’s sub 8-minute Nurburgring time, but with over 500 horsepower in Mercedes’ smallest rear-drive chassis, you can bet it will be competitive.
Check out the video below for the sights and sounds of the C63 ripping up Laguna Seca.
