The Need for Speed franchise’s latest effort, “The Run,” will have gamers getting behind the wheel of everything from a first-gen Volkswagen GTI, to McLaren’s technological tour-de-force, the MP4-12C. The limited edition version of the game will also include three exclusive cars: the Lamborghini Aventador, Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 and the new 2012 Porsche 911 Carrera S. In the new trailer for Need for Speed: The Run, we’re able to catch a sneak peek of the not only the game, but the 991-series 911 too.
While we’ve caught the new 2012 Porsche 911 testing, and Porsche has teased the 991-series 911 before, this short teaser in the trailer for Need for Speed: The Run is perhaps one of the best glimpses of the new 911 that we’ve had so far. In between shots of the 2012 Lamborghini Aventador weaving in and out of traffic, and the 2012 Chevy Camaro ZL1 smashing into a BMW M3, the video cuts to a quick close-up of what looks to be vents on the new 911 Carrera S’ hood, and then a shot of the new 911’s headlight and the surrounding area, which as can be expected with the Porsche 911, is virtually indistinguishable from previous generation cars.
The video also gives us a quick glimpse of the new 911 Carrera S zooming by the camera. As you can see in the gallery below, the new Need for Speed images aren’t giving away much about the new 911. Need for Speed: The Run will be released on November 15. In the meanwhile, check out the pictures and video below.
