2008 Lexus Ls600hl Badge

Read Rusty Blackwell's comments on driving the 2008 Lexus LS600hL.

I agree with Phil and David on almost everything they wrote. However, I was actually impressed by how quickly the heavy LS600hL will accelerate in electric-only mode; it feels quite a bit quicker in the same exercise than the Toyota Camry Hybrid (which admittedly doesn't have an EV-mode button to help you).

The LS is as cozy and plush as ever, but now with that much more prestige - at least among Toyota/hybrid people. Fans of V-12-powered German flagships probably won't be as impressed. But how could they miss the purple-outlined L grille and trunk badges?!

The slow auto-parking function is still pointless, as we concluded in our long-term test of the LS460L. That car, by the way, had a rear-seat refrigerator that compromised trunk space, but it doesn't seem so bad now that I've seen the 600hL's tiny trunk.
