Chevrolet Cruze Expected to Surpass 50,000 Units Sold in First Quarter of 2011

Sorry Doug - there is no stripped down version of the Cruze. Yes, you can get manual, but every model has air, power windows and doors, bluetooth, etc.. When you say stripped down, it does not mean the stripped down of past years, with roll up windows and no air. The base Cruze is equipped like a middle trimmed car of the past.

The Cruze already looks like a two year old car vs the new 2011 rolling off the lines from the likes of Honda Nissan Hyundai Kia etc. GM touts the Cruze Eco getting up to 41 mpg but this model is a manual shift stripped down version costing $19000 base. Only 5pct of manual shift cars are sold. The new Elantra fully loaded is around the same price gets up to 40 mpg with automatic and still carries a 10 yr 100k warranty not Five years as the GM products. I am not impressed with so many better compacts now hitting the showrooms.
