RM Auctions, in association with Sotheby's, is promoting several custom cars by Britain's premiere customizer: Andy Saunders. Saunders' modifications are more than the usual switching of components or adding custom body work; his projects are what Max Girardo, RM Auctions' European Managing Director, calls "rolling works of modern art."

Included in the auction line-up is a variety of Saunders' work. This includes his 1983 Citroen 2CV6 "Picasso Citroen," a multicolored and asymmetric creation which was built as if designed by Picasso. There's also his 1989 Fiat 126 "Flat Out," a sports car standing just 22 inches tall. "Each car is certainly a one-of-a-kind collector's piece," says Girardo. "Unique and fun, they are certain to capture the attention of both automotive and art enthusiasts and will add another element of fun to the event," he adds. RM Auctions, in association with Sotheby's, will present their Automobiles of London event at Battersea Evolution, Battersea Park, London UK on October 29th, 2008. A full day preview will be held on October 28th from 11:00am to 5:30pm. Doors open on October 29th at 10:00am, with all the auction action getting underway from 4:00pm. Admission to the event is by catalogue only, which is available for £50 and admits two.
