Carroll Shelby has been the subject of many a blog post and article over the past week and a half since his passing. Over the course of his almost nine-decade life, Shelby was involved in almost every imaginable aspect of automobiles, from racing, product development, marketing, and aftermarket tuning. Discovery Networks' Velocity Channel will chronicle the life and times of the automotive legend Carroll Shelby starting tomorrow night with a three-part miniseries, the first episode of which will air Sunday night, May 20 at 8 p.m. Eastern.
The first installment will cover the early days of the life of Carroll Shelby, and his historic LeMans victory, as well as the development of the AC Cobra, one of the most prized and copied classic high-performance cars of all time. The second episode takes a look at Shelby's partnership with Ford, and the creation of the original Mustang GT 350. The third and final episode covers Shelby's more recent collaboration with Ford on the current-generation Shelby GT 500, the once and future heir apparent to the musclecar throne. But if you miss the first airings of the show, don't worry, the episodes will air multiple times through June 1.
You can check out all the airtimes for "Carroll Shelby – King of the Road" through June 1 on the Velocity show schedule page here.
