Carhartt Releases New Ford F-150 Pickup Seat Covers

#Ford, #Ford

We won’t argue that the “Chaparral” leather seats on your Ford F-150 King Ranch are beautiful, but what if you’re worried about smearing them with dirt after working on your ranch? The answer, of course, is to cover the seats, but something tells us that your $42,000 pickup truck deserves better than a $9.99 faux-sheepskin special, especially when covering seats with side airbags and power seat controls. That doesn’t even take into consideration the style, either. Carhartt, thankfully, has dropped a new set of seat covers for the Ford F-Series trucks, which are made by Covercraft Industries. The best part: they’re designed -- and branded -- by Carhartt, the famed work wear maker. The covers look and feel like other Carhartt products: with triple stitching, a water-repellent finish, and a look that matches the Carhartt jackets loved so much by many. The seat covers are also a “vest” style, which leaves the sides open for easy access to power seat controls, and it allows the side airbags to deploy properly in the case of an accident. They are currently available through Ford dealers or their accessories site, www.fordaccesoriesstore.com, at prices ranging from $169 to $200. With all this talk about “luxury” or “sport” pickup trucks lately, it’s seat covers like this that remind us what pickups are designed to be all about: serious work. What do you think -- is it time for pickups to get back to business? Do seat covers like these herald the return of the pickup as a work tool, and not as a luxury-lined mall-runner? Let us know in the comment section below. Source: Truck Trend

Yes it is about time the trucks got back to business. Bring the box height down so things can be tossed in the back and make the cab easier to get in and out of. Bring back rubber flooring and make a truck people can afford to use for work.
