Breaking: Ford Fiesta Movement Car Stolen

One of the 100 Fiesta Movement cars was stolen yesterday.

For those of you familiar with Twitter, one of the Fiesta Movement Agents tweeted that his Ultra Violet Ford Fiesta had been stolen. He contacted the police and the police reported that because the vehicle had a ghost VIN, there was nothing they could do.

We contacted Ford public relations representative Alan Hall and he confirmed the car was stolen yesterday and is being tracked. The car is equipped with a GPS homing device called Procon. The device has enabled Ford to draw a map of where the car has been since it was stolen. As we write this, the car is currently headed south on I-95 around the New York metropolitan area.

If you're in the area and see a hot magenta Ford Fiesta, contact the local authorities as Ford (and the test driver) would love to reclaim the car.

If this isn't a phony publicity stunt I don't know what it. Stolen? Ghost VIN that the police can do nothing about? An on-board homing device? And heading to NYC?Yeah, right. Sound like BS to me.
