Brabus Creates 690 HP, Six-Wheeled Off-Roader

Brabus is known for taking Mercedes-Benz AMG models to the next level, and the German tuner has outdone itself with its latest creation, the insane B63 S-700 6x6. Based on the extremely rare Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG 6x6, the B63S-700 6x6 adds 154 hp to the 5.5-liter twin-turbo V-8 for a total of 690 hp with the help of two Brabus turbochargers with more boost, revised engine mapping, and a special sport exhaust system.

This monstrosity also has a colossal amount of torque, with 708 lb-ft motivating the four-ton behemoth to 62 mph in an estimated 7.4 seconds. Somehow, the same AMG seven-speed automatic is able to put all of this power down to all six wheels, with a locking differential at each of the three axles.

On the outside, the B63 S-700 6x6 manages to look even more imposing than the standard G63 AMG 6x6 with dark-tinted LED lights on the front spoiler, black xenon headlights, and carbon fiber trim on the hood and mirrors. The huge, 37-inch off-road tires give the B63S-700 a monster truck-like stance and an insane amount of go-anywhere capability, but limit the top speed to 100 mph.

The interior of the Brabus is differentiated by a special leather package with a red and black leather and Alcantara combination along with aluminum accents throughout. There are also backlit Brabus logos on special stainless-steel scuff plates, along with special stitched upholstery on the floor and headliner.

Brabus has not announced a price for this upgrade package, but it’s likely of little importance for the 20 or 30 G63 AMG 6x6 owners out there. Check out the gallery below for more photos of this six-wheeled monster.

Daimler chief Dieter Zetsche was checking out the Brabus stand yesterday evening. And a G-wagen 2-door, 4-seat convertible on the Mercedes stand was always surrounded by admirers. No denying the eternal popularity of every variation of this ancient formula.
