BMW's proud of the fact that the 2012 328i can sprint from 0-60 mph in 5.9 seconds -- so proud, in fact, that the German automaker launched a new video contest asking entrants to submit 5.9-second-long clips for a chance to win a new 328i.

BMW is calling its latest campaign “0 to Desir3 in 5.9 Seconds,” and will host the contest on Facebook and YouTube beginning today. In order to qualify, entrants must produce a video 5.9 seconds long showing how much they desire a new 3 Series. Though the inspiration for the contest comes from the 328i’s 5.9-second 0-60 time, BMW says it won’t disqualify entries that are 6 seconds long. The videos must be uploaded by March 9, when a panel of judges will pick 30 finalists. Voting will then be opened up to the public, who will pick out their favorite video out of the top 30. The grand prize of a new 328i will be awarded to one lucky YouTuber in early April.

So if you think you can fit all the reasons why you’re worthy of a new 3 Series into approximately 5.9 seconds, get your cameras ready, because there’s one sweet ride at stake. Check out BMW’s promo video below.
