BMW Launches Individual X6 Performance Edition, 6 Series Coupe Frozen Silver Edition

Want your luxury SUV and coupe to stand out from the crowd? BMW has the answer in the form of two limited-edition versions of its cars. The automaker plans to build and sell just 100 copies of the Individual X6 Performance Edition, and another 55 examples of the 650i coupe Frozen Silver Edition. Thanks to reprogrammed engine computers, the 2013 BMW Individual X6 Performance Edition benefits from a modest increase in horsepower. The X6 xDrive35i sees its turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six gain 15 hp and 30 lb-ft of torque, for totals of 315 hp and 330 lb-ft; the X6 xDrive50i sees its twin-turbo 4.4-liter V-8 gain 40 hp and 30 lb-ft, bringing total outputs to 440 hp and 480 lb-ft. Other upgrades include 20-inch black Y-spoke wheels, Individual Pearl Silver paint, black exhaust tips, and a combination of black leather and Alcantara with Sakhir Orange contrast stitching. BMW also bundles the Premium, Cold Weather, and Technology packages, as well as soft-closing doors, running boards, and satellite radio. The V-8-powered xDrive50i also benefits from LED headlights and the Premium Sound package. BMW will produce 50 units of the xDrive35i, priced from $81,695 after destination, and another 50 units of the xDrive50i, priced from $92,895. Matte Paint For 6 Series Coupe BMW also will add to its long line of matte-paint cars with the 6 Series coupe Frozen Silver Edition. The car follows in the footsteps of special-edition Frozen models like the M5 M Performance Edition, M3 Competition Edition Frozen Silver, and Frozen Black Edition M3. Offered in just 55 units for the 650i coupe and all-wheel-drive 650i xDrive coupe, the Frozen Silver treatment yields unique matte silver paint, black mirrors, and 20-inch gloss-black M Performance wheels. Interior updates consist of black Nappa leather and Gray Poplar wood trim. The special-edition 6-Series comes standard with an M steering wheel; M aerodynamic body add-ons; dark exterior trim; an Alcantara headliner; a sports exhaust with dark chrome tips; black-painted brake calipers; and an Executive package that includes a leather-trimmed dashboard, head-up display, soft-close doors, power rear sunshade, and more. Rear-wheel-drive 650i Frozen Silver Edition models will run a cool $99,295 after destination, while the all-wheel-drive 650i xDrive costs $102,695.
