Blank Slate: Mansory's New Take on Rolls-Royce Ghost

Beauty, it seems, lurks not only within the eye of the beholder, but in context. Mansory's latest take on the Rolls-Royce Ghost -- dubbed the White Ghost Limited -- may not be the prettiest thing on four wheels, but when compared with other cars produced by the Swiss tuning firm, it's downright gorgeous.

Unlike the firm's last stab at modifying the baby Rolls, the White Ghost Limited sports exterior enhancements that are, generally speaking, rather tasteful. Mansory skipped the wild paint colors in favor of a monochromatic white scheme, but did fit the car with new 22-inch wheels, a new front bumper fascia, taller side sills, a subtle ducktail spoiler, and a custom rear diffuser with integrated exhaust tips. We like the look of these additional parts, although the tall vents placed on the front fenders look somewhat awkward. Underhood, Rolls-Royce's twin-turbocharged 6.6-liter V-12 remains, but some mild tuning allows Mansory to offer customers a sizable jump in power. According to the tuner, the engine is massaged to produce nearly 629 horsepower and 634 pound-feet of torque, up from the stock output of 563 horsepower and 575 pound-feet, respectively. The extra power allegedly helps the White Ghost sprint from 0-62 mph in 4.5 seconds (four-tenths of a second quicker than a standard Ghost) and ultimately reach a top speed of 180 mph. We've never accused the Ghost of lacking luxury, but Mansory seeks to bolster Rolls-Royce's already opulent cabin by adding a few special touches. Both the headliner and dash cover are wrapped in Alcantara, and the tuner installs unique saddle-on-cream two-tone leather seating. The stock wood veneers are replaced with bamboo trim, and accent LED lighting is installed throughout the interior. Rolls-Royce motorcars have long been both exclusive and expensive, and Mansory's White Ghost Limited is no exception. The package adds roughly $153,000 to the Ghost's $248,700 price tag, and only three examples will be manufactured. Source: Mansory
