Beijing 2012: Rolls-Royce Shows 'Phenomenal' Ghost Six Senses Concept

Rolls-Royce is unveiling the Ghost Six Senses concept at the Beijing Motor Show this week, and the automaker claims the car is rather phenomenal. Literally. The Six Senses concept is designed to appeal to all of the traditional five senses (sight, taste, touch, sound, smell), and more, which "can be likened to an aura," said Rolls-Royce CEO Torsten Muller-Otvos during the concept's reveal. Sight comes into play with the Six Senses' pearl Carrara White paint job, which is complemented by new forged alloy wheels. Inside, Walnut Burr veneer appointments are also pleasing to the eye. As for sound, the concept not only offers the same quietness all Rolls-Royce cars are known for, but a new audio system with an upgraded amplifier and speakers built in the leather headliner to lift the center of the sound closer to the ears of rear-seat passengers. The new natural soft grain leather seats will get a passenger's sense of smell going, while taste can be satisfied with chilled beverages stored in the Ghost Six Senses' coolbox and poured into flutes featuring sound-wave etching. Rolls appeals to the sense of touch with thick wool rugs located on the cabin floor, and also in the trunk. As for the sixth sense? "Relax for a few moments and you will experience something that is hard to define, but which our customers understand so well," Muller-Otvos said. Source: Rolls-Royce
