Aston Martin has released basic powertrain information on the stunning One-77 supercar, which will produce 750 horsepower and 553 lb-ft of torque from a 7.3-liter V-12.

With that much power, Aston Martin says the One-77 carries the most powerful naturally aspirated road car engine in the world.

We've seen the One-77 tested around the Nürburgring before and heard a few months back that one buyer -- just one buyer -- had ordered 10 One-77s out of a total production run of 77 cars.

“The One-77 is approaching a production reality and of course, there is considerable excitement in the project," said Ulrich Bez, Chief Executive of Aston Martin. "Now the next steps are all about details and refinement to complete the composition. I know the final car will demonstrate what the Aston Martin team is capable of.”

Deliveries of the One-77 will start early in 2011. For the roughly $1.5 million asking price, you could either buy each member of your family an Aston Martin V12 Vantage or get one One-77. Which option would you choose?
