Another Leak: Facelifted Hyundai Genesis Coupe Photos Continue To Emerge

Technically, the facelifted Hyundai Genesis Coupe won’t be officially shown for a few months yet, but a cavalcade of new images managed to leak online well ahead of schedule.

This isn’t the first time we’ve had a good look at the mid-cycle refresh for the Genesis Coupe, but it does give us a few new perspectives. As previously shown, the biggest change to the two-door is an all-new front fascia inspired by the company’s new 2012 Veloster hatchback. A large, hexagonal grille dominates the front clip, while new headlamps look longer and flatter than before. There is more surface detailing on the hood stamping, along with a pair of vents (our guess is they’re only for show).

These latest photos suggest there are a few mild revisions in store for the car’s interior. This particular prototype appears to boast a revised gauge cluster and a new center stack design. The latter incorporates three auxiliary gauges, much like the second-generation Tiburon coupe.

Engine configurations may not change much -- the 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-four and 3.8-liter V-6 are expected to carry over -- but both may receive direct-fuel injection and a modest power bump for the new model year. Look for the revised Genesis Coupe to make its debut in January at the 2012 Detroit auto show alongside the Veloster Turbo.

I think the Veloster inspired styling makes the front seem abit too busy. If they remove the middle black bar in between the chrome slits, then it would look better. Even though I would like Hyundai to keep the same price, I highly doubt it. Their Sonata has increased in prices several times by a few hundred dollars, and so has their Genesis sedan. They will also increase the price of the new Azera.
Great job Hyundai. Looks really nice. Please make the v6 333 HP like the Sedan, and keep the price the same. Tweak the suspension a bit. (make it handle not as rough), and keep the price about the same. My next car may be a Hyundai.
