In order to celebrate 25 years of building faster Holden models, Holden Special Vehicles (HSV) is building 140 HSV 25 Anniversary GTS models. HSV will offer just 15 of the limited-edition models in New Zealand while the rest will be sold in Australia.
While the HSV 25th Anniversary GTS’ 436-hp 6.2-liter V-8 and six-speed manual transmission remains untouched, the limited-edition model features performance upgrades including lightweight 20-inch forged alloy wheels with a satin graphite finish. HVS claims the wheels reduce unsprung weight by eight percent. Six-piston brakes combine with a 50-percent increase of pad area help bring the GTS to a stop.
Unique satin graphite “vector” hood scoops and side vents match the 20-inch alloys and will contrast the four available paint colors: Heron (white), Sting (red), Hazard (yellow), and Phantom (black). Inside, embroidered 25th anniversary logos for the seats, Enhanced Driver Interface (EDI) start-up screen, sill plates, and an internal I.D. plate will celebrate the milestone. EDI can show real-time performance data including G forces, lap times, as well as power and torque. You’ll also find special badges on the exterior of the special GTS, which comes standard with a blindspot monitoring system and two-mode exhaust system.
The HSV 25th Anniversary GTS will go on sale October 18, the same day it will be shown at the Australian International Motor Show in Sydney. Options include a six-speed automatic, sunroof, DVD player, and liquid propane injection.
