The Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT is on its way out, and Mercedes-Benz is celebrating the four-model-year run of its gullwing supercar with a special edition called the 2015 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT Final Edition. This version of the SLS will debut at the 2013 Los Angeles auto show and only 350 units will be produced.
The 2015 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT Final Edition is powered by the same 6.2-liter V-8 engine as the standard SLS AMG GT, which produces 583 horsepower and 479 lb-ft of torque. It will be offered in either coupe or roadster versions and features a host of exterior and interior changes, making the already standout SLS AMG even more exclusive.
Mercedes-Benz hasn’t told us much about the final edition, but from the initial photos we can see the the exterior sports numerous carbon fiber pieces, including a carbon fiber hood, a carbon fiber rear spoiler and front splitter. The SLS AMG Final Edition also looks to have special wheels and unique paint colors. We would expect an upgraded interior as well for the Final Edition.
We don’t know how many of the 350 units will be designated for North America, but the 2015 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT Final Edition will undoubtedly be an exclusive product. Mercedes-Benz has not yet released pricing information for the Final Edition, but the standard 2014 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT coupe and roadster start at $202,425 and $208,925 with destination, respectively.
