Even though last year’s full redesign added all sorts of upscale features to the funky Soul, Kia is now adding even more equipment to the 2015 Kia Soul. Along with the extra kit for the base and Exclaim trim levels comes a slight increase in price, which rises $200-400 depending on trim for a new base price of $15,900 with destination.

The base 2015 Kia Soul comes standard with a 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine and a six-speed manual transmission. Opting for the optional six-speed automatic adds $2000, for a price of $17,900. New for the base automatic model for 2015 is the availability of Kia’s Uvo software, which integrates with smartphones and offers voice command, emergency assistance, and more. The system comes in an $800 package that also adds fog lights, a backup camera, and automatic headlights to the base model.
Next in the Soul hierarchy is the mid-level Plus model, which adds as standard a larger 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine. Although the Soul + rolls into 2015 unchanged, it does cost $400 more than last year, making for a price of $19,400 with destination.
The top Soul Exclaim adds a new Umber Package that adds gloss black wheel inserts outside and Nappa leather inside. It’s available with either Fathom Blue or Cloud White exterior colors, and costs $900, or $400 if buyers opt for Umber Package on top of the aptly named $2500 Whole Shebang Package that adds things like pushbutton start, HID headlights, heated and ventilated front seats, and more. A fully loaded 2015 Kia Soul with this package, the Sun and Sound Package, and the new Umber Package tops out at an even $27,000, or $805 dearer than a loaded 2014 Soul.
The mildly updated 2015 Kia Soul is already on sale nationwide, and a new electric Kia Soul EV model goes on sale in California, Oregon, New York, New Jersey, and Maryland later this fall.
