The 2015 Cadillac Escalade is almost here, and General Motors has revealed a teaser photo of the full-size luxury SUV’s headlight before it is officially unveiled on October 7 in New York City. The teaser photo shows a dramatic new headlight design that features LEDs and looks to follow along with Cadillac’s angular design language as seen on the ATS and CTS sedans.
We’ve already spied the 2015 Cadillac Escalade inside and out, and the redesign looks to give the new Cadillac a more modern but still aggressive look, with an imposing front grille and chrome accents throughout. Along with the new headlights up front, it’s possible that the taillights will adopt a full-length, dramatic design imitating the Cadillac CTS Sport Wagon.
On the inside, the 2015 Cadillac Escalade’s interior will make a huge leap over the last generation, becoming the last Cadillac model to feature the brand’s CUE infotainment interface. The center stack is similar to other Cadillac models, with piano black trim, touch-capacitive controls, and aluminum accents, and the instrument cluster will become a full LED display screen with configurable gauges.
The 2015 Cadillac Escalade will continue to be offered in regular- and long-wheelbase ESV models, with a choice of 5.3-liter or 6.2-liter V-8 engines, like in the new 2015 Chevrolet and GMC full-size SUVs. Rear- or four-wheel-drive will be available.
Cadillac is also collaborating with indie rock photographer Autumn de Wilde for the release of the 2015 Escalade. To show the Escalade’s design process in a more artistic light, de Wilde produced a series of portraits and a short film showing behind-the-scenes of the car’s development. This collection will be shown along with the new vehicle at the official reveal.
The 2015 Cadillac Escalade will go on sale by spring 2014, and look for full information about the new model to be released October 7.
