2015 Cadillac Escalade Interior Spied

The redesigned 2015 Chevrolet and GMC full-size SUVs made their debut yesterday, and the 2015 Cadillac Escalade is up next, with its debut planned for October. Our spy photographer just caught a prototype testing that reveals the completely redone interior of Cadillac’s newest luxury SUV.

It’s no surprise that Cadillac’s CUE infotainment interface is the main feature of the redesigned center stack, with a large touchscreen sitting atop a console with the piano black glossy look that mimics the control layout in the rest of Cadillac’s lineup. The 2015 Cadillac Escalade will be the last Cadillac to receive CUE. We’ve had some issues with the touch-capacitive controls in some Cadillac models, including our Four Seasons ATS, but Cadillac has been making constant upgrades to the system for better performance. The redesigned Escalade also looks to feature a fully LED screen display like the Cadillac XTS, with configurable gauges and information displays.

On the outside, the latest spy photos show hints at the 2015 Escalade’s imposing grille that will likely feature the new version of Cadillac’s crest logo. LED accent lights sit below the vertically-oriented headlamps for a more upscale appearance. The overall profile of the Escalade looks much like the new versions of the Chevrolet Suburban and GMC Yukon XL with simple, squared-off lines. Our photographer noted that the long-wheelbase prototype appeared to have full-length taillights extending along the D-pillars. If this makes it to production, the 2015 Cadillac Escalade could have an interesting-looking rear end mimicking the outgoing Cadillac CTS Sport Wagon.

The Cadillac Escalade will continue to be offered in standard-wheelbase and extended ESV models, but we wouldn’t bet on the Chevrolet Avalanche-based Escalade EXT pickup returning for the new model. Reports suggest the official debut of the 2015 Cadillac Escalade will take place on October 7, and a Cadillac representative previously told us the new luxury SUV will go on sale by spring 2014.

It's looks like they toned down the interior of the Escalade.
