2014 Toyota Avalon, 2014 Toyota Prius Prices Announced

The 2014 Toyota Avalon will see slight price changes for the new model year, while the 2014 Toyota Prius continues without any changes in pricing. Both cars enter production this month and will be at Toyota showrooms in November.

The 2014 Toyota Avalon starts at $32,150, including a destination charge of $810, for the base XLE trim. It's the only version of the Avalon that is more expensive for 2014, up $350, reflecting the fact that a backup camera is now standard equipment. The only other trim levels that see price changes are the 2014 Toyota Avalon XLE Touring and 2014 Toyota Avalon Hybrid XLE Touring. Both are now $500 cheaper, at $33,810 and $37,560 respectively, as a blind-spot monitor is now optional rather than standard.Pricing for the 2014 Toyota Avalon Hybrid starts at $36,365 for the XLE Premium model.

The 2014 Toyota Prius also doesn't change in price this year, even though its plug-in hybrid variant saw its base price slashed by $2000. The fleet-only 2014 Toyota Prius One starts at $24,025 after destination. The Prius Two, which is the lowest model that customers can buy and has equipment like push-button start, Bluetooth, and 15-inch alloy wheels, starts at $25,010. The 2014 Toyota Prius Three costs $27,575 and adds navigation and a backup camera. The Prius Four costs $29,245 and builds on the Three with a power driver's seat and a JBL sound system. The top-spec Prius Five costs $30,815 and adds LED headlights, 17-inch wheels, and fog lights.

This is likely the last model year for this generation of the Toyota Prius. Our spy photographers have already snapped the 2015 Toyota Prius, which will receive a significant face lift, an updated interior that matches other new Toyota products, and a more fuel-efficient drivetrain that is rumored to return as much as 60 mpg. The 2015 Toyota Prius will likely debut in early 2014.
