Though the SRT Viper was just launched in 2013, the 2014 model sees a price increase of $2000 over the 2013's introductory price. A few more standard features accounts for the bump to $103,990, an MSRP that includes the $1995 destination charge and $2600 gas guzzler tax.
Every 2014 SRT Viper now comes standard with HD Radio, a navigation system, Uconnect access, a rearview camera, and a 12-speaker Harman/Kardon sound system with two subwoofers. While rearview cameras and navigation are great, the most important standard Viper feature is under the hood: a 640-hp 8.4-liter V-10 with 600 lb-ft of torque. The engine is mated to a six-speed manual transmission, and 0-60 mph comes in about 3.5 seconds.
The only other change for 2014 is a price decrease for the available 18-speaker sound system, down from $2995 to $1995. The 2014 SRT Viper GTS' price is unchanged, meaning the extra $21,000 gets you a two-mode active suspension with better interior materials and customization options.
We still don't have pricing for the 2014 SRT Viper TA, the more hard-core version optimized for track duty. The Viper TA has as standard larger Brembo front rotors, a carbon fiber engine X-brace, a two-way front splitter, and a rear wing that adds 300 pounds of downforce at 150 mph. The TA also benefits from a tweaked version of the GTS' two-mode suspension. Expect pricing of the 2014 Viper TA to be around $116,000.
