The 2014 Nissan Pathfinder will be $200 more expensive than last year's model, Nissan announced today. Though the automaker hasn't yet released pricing for the 2014 Nissan Pathfinder Hybrid, it did confirm that the standard model will start at $29,710, including an $860 destination charge.
Aside from the addition of a hybrid model, there are very few changes for the 2014 Nissan Pathfinder. A new SL Technology package brings a Bose 13-speaker audio system, navigation, and Bluetooth audio to SL trim levels, features which were previously available only on the Pathfinder Platinum. All versions continue to be powered by a 260-hp, 3.5-liter V-6 and continuously variable transmission. Front-wheel drive is standard, while adding all-wheel drive is a $1600 option on any trim level.
The 2014 Nissan Pathfinder S starts from $29,710 with front- and $31,310 with all-wheel drive. The SV trim level costs $32,970 and $34,570, respectively, and adds equipment like push-button start, a backup camera, a power driver's seat, Bluetooth, rear parking sensors, satellite radio, and automatic headlights. The only option is a tow package, which costs $400.
The next step up is the 2014 Nissan Pathfinder SL, which costs $35,910 with front-wheel drive and $37,510 with all-wheel drive. It adds leather first- and second-row seats, remote start, a power liftgate, and heated mirrors. Options include the aforementioned $1570 SL Technology package; the $400 Trailer Tow package; and the $2650 SL Premium package, which bundles a 13-speaker Bose audio system, panoramic sunroof, tow hitch, and rear 120-volt outlet.
The top tier for the 2014 Nissan Pathfinder is the Platinum model, priced from $40,610 with front- and $42,210 with all-wheel drive. It builds on the SL model's equipment list with 20-inch wheels, navigation, the AroundView 360-degree camera system, cooled front seats, a 13-speaker Bose audio system, and a heated steering wheel. The $2300 Platinum Premium package tacks on a rear entertainment system and a panoramic sunroof.
The 2014 Nissan Pathfinder is on sale now.
