2014 Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG Leaked

If the new 2014 Mercedes-Benz S-Class piqued your interest, but you felt that the base 455-hp 4.7-liter twin-turbo V-8 wasn't powerful enough, here is your first look at the 2014 S63 AMG performance sedan. This early glimpse of the new uprated range-topper comes thanks to a video of the new W222-generation S-Class rolling off the factory line last week.

The aesthetic changes to the S63 AMG are subtle, and it takes a keen eye to spot the differences between it and the regular S-Class. Most notable are the larger front air intakes, which are accented by gloss-black trim. The look is similar to the new E63 AMG, although less extroverted. Around back, there looks to be a revised diffuser with squared-off quad exhaust tips. In profile, the front flanks wear what look like "V8 Biturbo badging" and there are larger split-five-spoke AMG wheels.

We don't know for sure what will power the 2014 S63 AMG, but it's most likely that it will probably receive the same 5.5-liter twin-turbo V-8 as the 2014 E63 AMG. In the smaller sedan, the eight-cylinder is good for 550 hp and 531 lb-ft of torque on normal guise or 577 hp and 590 lb-ft with the uprated S-Model. Given that the outgoing S63 AMG offered 536 hp from the same 5.5-liter V-8, expect the 2014 S63's output number to increase, especially if Mercedes chooses to offer an S-Model. Also expect to see the price tag swell past the current car's $140,905 base price with destination.

Full information on the 2014 Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG will probably emerge this summer, with the car going on sale shortly after the 2014 S550 rolls into dealerships this fall.

My neighbour has a Mercedes...it's an S-class as well. It's a '10 model and from what he says, has less than 50K miles.  After reading the title to this story, I laughed...he says his S-class leaks often.
