The addition of a new nine-speed automatic transmission has resulted in an uptick in fuel economy figures for the 2014 Land Rover Range Rover Evoque. The crossover now returns 21/30 mpg (city/highway), versus the Evoque's previous 20/28 mpg ratings with its six-speed automatic transmission.
The 2014 Land Rover Range Rover Evoque continues to use a 2.0-liter turbo-four engine rated for 240 hp and 250 lb-ft of torque, with four-wheel drive as standard. In addition to the new nine-speed automatic, the 2014 model's fuel efficiency increases in part thanks to a new Active Driveline function that disconnects the rear axle at speeds above 22 mph.
Other changes to the 2014 Land Rover Range Rover Evoque include the availability of adaptive cruise control, new wheel designs, new interior trim options, anda feature that can automatically drive the SUV out of a parallel-parking space.
Pricing for the standard five-door 2014 Land Rover Range Rover Evoque Pure starts at $41,995 (including an $895 destination charge), which is actually a decrease of $45 compared to last year’s price. The Pure Plus trim level is $44,995, the Pure Premium costs $49,595, the Range Rover Evoque Prestige is $56,295, and the top-spec Dynamic model is $57,195.
The three-door 2014 Land Rover Range Rover Evoque Coupe starts at $45,040 in its base Pure Plus trim level, which is identical to last year’s price. Stepping up to the Pure Premium model requires $50,595 and the top-spec Range Rover Evoque Coupe Dynamic is $58,195.
