Land Rover has announced two new expansions on its flagship Range Rover, including a long-wheelbase option and a top-of-the-line trim called the Autobiography Black Edition. Both new options will be shown at the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show this November, with the Autobiography Black making its global debut slightly sooner at the Dubai International Motor Show.

The Autobiography Black Edition will be the most luxurious Range Rover on the market, as well as the most exclusive ā€” only about 100 units will be sold in the U.S. for the 2014 model year. The exterior distinguishes itself from the base 2014 Land Rover Range Rover with black enamel and chrome front grille and side vents, a chrome-accented tailgate, and distinctive rear lamps and auxiliary vents. The Autobiography Black also comes standard with seven-spoke, high-gloss 21-inch wheels.

While the outside of the Autobiography Black is lovely, the interior is even more special. While front passengers sit in 18-way power seats, those in the rear enjoy two leather bucket seats with lumbar massage and power-recline functions, which makes staring at the pair of 10.2-inch headrest-integrated screens just that much more enjoyable. If you happen to have secured the right-hand rear passenger seat, feel free to relax your tired legs on a powered recliner calf rest.

A newly-designed center console between the rear seats, which can be illuminated in a range of 10 mood-lighting colors, can electrically deploy personal black-leather tables with USB-integration and cup holders. Beverages will be cool and refreshing thanks to the Range Rover's chiller compartment and additional storage in the rear is available to store additional bottles and glasses.

Furthermore, the headphone storage trim can be removed to reveal a ski hatch. Customers may choose from three exclusive interior color combinations, such as Ebony/Lunar, Espresso/Tan, and Dark/Cherry ivory, the last of which features a unique dual-tone seat.

For even greater comfort, 2014 Land Rover Range Rover buyers can opt for the long-wheelbase model, which adds 5.5 inches to rear sear legroom courtesy of a nearly eight-inch wheelbase increase from the standard 2014 Land Rover Range Rover. The long-wheelbase Range Rover is available with either bench seating for three, or two individual rear seats divided by a center console; individual rear seats can recline to 17 degrees, compared to 9 degrees on the standard-wheelbase Range Rover. Powered rear window shades and a panoramic sunroof, as well as ā€˜Lā€™ badging on the lower front doors, come standard on long-wheelbase 2014 Range Rovers.

Pricing for the two new Range Rover models has not been announced. The current Land Rover Range Rover Autobiography starts at $135,995, including an $895 destination charge.
