We just drove the 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee, but now we have full pricing for the revised SUV. Jeep's flagship model will start at $29,790 for the Grand Cherokee Laredo, with base prices rising all the way to $63,990 for the high-performance SRT model. The diesel-powered Jeep will start at $41,290.
The model mix for the 2014 Grand Cherokee should be similar to anyone who has looked at the Jeep's order sheet recently. Trims levels start at the base Laredo, build to Limited ($36,792), up to Overland ($43,990), and top out with the new range-topping Summit trim ($48,990). The Grand Cherokee SRT will start at $63,990. All of those prices are for the base, rear-wheel drive versions of each trim – four-wheel drive is optional on all models at a cost of $2000 for Laredo and Limited models, or $3000 for Overland and Summit versions. The base engine is the familiar 290-hp 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6, now mated to an eight-speed automatic. For $2195, buyers can opt for the 5.7-liter Hemi V-8 good for 360 hp, also mated to the eight-speed. The SRT also continues on with the same 470-hp 6.4-liter Hemi V-8 as last year, although it, too, gets the eight-speed.
That brings us to the newest – and most exciting – powertrain offering in the Jeep lineup: a 3.0-liter turbodiesel V-6. The diesel is good for 240 hp and 420 lb-ft of torque, an expected 30 mpg, 7400 lbs of towing, and a range of 730 miles. The price of entry begins at $41,290, which is for a 2014 Grand Cherokee Limited EcoDiesel 4x2, and costs $4500 on Limited and Overland models or $5000 for Summits.
Compared to the 2013 Grand Cherokee, prices are only rising slightly – the base Grand Cherokee is only $1100 more expensive; with the departure of the Laredo X and Altitude trims, the Limited comes down by $1300; Overland models are up $2500; and Summit is $3500 more than the old Overland Summit. The SRT's swells rises by $2700 from 2013 to 2014.
The 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee will begin going on sale later this month, with the diesel and SRT variants going on sale later this spring.
All prices include a $995 destination fee.
