Honda announced that the refreshed 2014 Odyssey minivan will start at $29,655 with destination for the base LX model. This represents a $150 increase over the 2013 Honda Odyssey LX.

The 2014 Honda Odyssey will be available in seven trim levels: LX, EX, EX-L, EX-L with Rear Entertainment System, EX-L with Navigation, Touring, and EX-L Touring Elite. For trim levels above LX, base pricing increases between $300 and $425 versus the 2013 Honda Odyssey, depending on the model. A fully loaded 2014 Honda Odyssey EX-L Touring Elite with all the bells and whistles will run buyers $45,280 with destination.

Upgrades for 2014 include a slight styling refresh for the front and rear fascias along with a revised instrument panel and center console. The 2014 Odyssey also includes a host of new optional technologies such as LaneWatch blind spot display, HondaLink connectivity, forward collision warning, lane departure warning, HD Radio, and a multi-angle rearview camera. As shown at the 2013 New York Auto Show, the 2014 Honda Odyssey’s main party trick is the HondaVac integrated vacuum available on the top-of-the-line Touring Elite trim. HondaVac operates off the vehicle’s 12-volt electrical system and is integrated into the rear cargo area of the 2014 Odyssey, with a hose that can extend throughout the cabin.

Additionally, a six-speed automatic is now standard on all Odysseys. Previously, the six-speed automatic was available only on the top Touring and Touring Elite trims; all other models were equipped with a five-speed. This upgrade means that the 2014 Odyssey is now the unquestionable leader in the minivan segment for fuel economy with its 19/28 mpg city/highway rating across the board. The next most efficient minivan is the 2013 Nissan Quest, rated at 19/25 mpg.

The 2014 Honda Odyssey goes on sale July 2. Check out the chart below to see how the Odyssey matches up against the competition.
