2014 Chrysler Town & Country, Dodge Grand Caravan Receive 30th Anniversary Packages

To celebrate selling minivans for 30 years, Chrysler Group has launched 30th Anniversary Edition packages for its van twins, the 2014 Chrysler Town & Country and the 2014 Dodge Grand Caravan. The first ever Chrysler minivan rolled off the assembly line in November 1983, and since then the automaker has sold more than 13 million minivans.

The 2014 Chrysler Town & Country 30th Anniversary Edition is based on a Touring-L model and wears 17-inch wheels with dark accents, "30th Anniversary Edition" badges, and an available granite crystal pearl paint color. The minivan's interior features black Nappa leather seat bolsters with Alcantara inserts, piano-black trim for the steering wheel and instrument cluster, power-folding third-row seats, power-folding mirrors, and another 30th Anniversary Edition logo on the keyfob. The Town & Country is also fitted with the Driver's Convenience package, which adds heated first- and second-row seats, a heated leather-wrapped steering wheel, power-adjustable pedals, and push-button start.

The 2014 Dodge Grand Caravan 30th Anniversary Edition receives largely the same upgrades, starting with the 17-inch wheels, unique badges, optional granite crystal paint, and piano-black interior trim. The package can be had on both SE and SXT models of the minivan. The former includes black cloth seats, a black leather-wrapped shift knob, power second- and third-row windows, chrome climate-control trim, a black headliner, satellite radio, Bluetooth, and an auto-dimming rear-view mirror. Opting for the SXT version of the Dodge Grand Caravan means the 30th Anniversary Edition adds black leatherette seats with silver stitching; chrome trim for the foglight housings, window surrounds, and roof rack; automatic headlights; and a power driver's seat.

Both the 2014 Chrysler Town & Country and 2014 Dodge Grand Caravan use a 283-hp, 3.6-liter V-6 engine and six-speed automatic transmission. The Town & Country 30th Anniversary Edition starts at $36,690 (including a $995 destination charge), the Grand Caravan SE 30th Anniversary is $25,690, and the Grand Caravan SXT 30th Anniversary costs $28,990. All three models will be in showrooms this fall.
