A configurator for the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray has been launched missing one crucial detail: you can't see the car you've built. But as long as your imagination is in good working order, the tool tells you everything you need to know about pricing and optioning your dream Corvette.
As we previously reported, the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray coupe starts at $51,995 including destination, while the convertible starts at $56,995. Upgrading to the 2LT trim costs $56,205 for coupes and $61,205 for convertibles, and adds heated seats, a Bose premium audio system, color head-up display, and auto-dimming mirrors. The range-topping 3LT costs $60,000 in coupe form and $65,000 as a convertible, and includes all features of the base 1LT and 2LT plus a leather-wrapped interior, Nappa leather seats, an instrument panel color-matched to the interior, and standard navigation system (a $795 option on lower models). Adding the Z51 performance package costs $2800.
No-cost exterior paint choices include Black, Arctic White, Torch Red, Blade Silver Metallic, Cyber Gray Metallic, and Night Race Blue Metallic. Lime Rock Green Metallic is a $495 premium paint option, while Laguna Blue Tint Coat, Velocity Yellow Tint Coat, and Crystal Red Tint Coat will cost you $995. Though you can't see how the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray looks in those colors with this configurator, GM has another tool that can help you visualize your fantasy Stingray. Non-Z51 Corvettes get silver-painted 18-inch five-spoke alloy wheels as standard, with a chrome-plated version costing $1995, and a machined-face version costing $1495. Z51s receive 19-inch split-spoke alloy wheels finished in silver as standard, with a chrome-plated set available for $1995, and black-painted wheels for $495.
The seven-speed manual transmission is standard, while the six-speed automatic with paddle shifters is a $1350 option. Other options include Competition Sport Bucket Seats for $1995, carbon fiber interior trim for $995, custom Corvette-branded luggage for $920, yellow- or red-painted brake calipers for $595, and hood stinger stripe in Carbon Flash for $500.
