If you've had your eye on the 2013 Chevrolet Spark since its role in the Transformers movies and are wondering just how much it's going to cost, we finally have an answer. The Spark will start at $12,995 when it goes on sale later this year, including destination charges. For that price, you'll get the Spark LS, which comes with 15-inch alloy wheels, a basic stereo with an auxiliary input jack, and a five-speed manual transmission. It's also equipped with power windows, air conditioning, a 60/40 split rear seat, and 10 airbags. It comes in creatively colors like Salsa, Jalapeno, Denim, Lemonade, and Techno Pink. The Spark has two more trim levels, the 1LT and 2LT. The 1LT adds Chevrolet's MyLink infotainment system, which brings Bluetooth connectivity, a USB port, satellite radio, and Pandora Internet radio connectivity. It also adds power door locks, keyless entry, visor mirrors and cruise control. The 1LT with a manual transmission starts at $14,495. The 2LT adds a different set of alloy wheels, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, heated leatherette front seats, and a number of exterior tweaks like body color rocker panels and silver roof rails. It starts at $15,795. All trim levels are equipped with a five-speed manual transmission, and all are available with a four-speed automatic transmission for an extra $925. Other than that, the Spark has two other major options, Black Granite paint for $195 and an engine block heater for $75. Theoretically, the most expensive Spark would be a 2LT with an automatic transmission, black paint, and an optional engine block heater, which brings the price up to $16,990. With pricing like that, the Spark is set to undercut its competitors in the minicar segment by a fair amount. A base 2012 Ford Fiesta hatchback starts at $14,645, while the least expensive 2012 Fiat 500 will cost you $16,200. Heck, even the Scion iQ starts at just under $16,000. Source: General Motors
