2013 Buick Encore Partially Revealed on Facebook

No new car debut would be complete with teaser photos shared on social-media platforms, so Buick is using Facebook to provide an early look at the 2013 Encore crossover. Today Buick’s Facebook page revealed one quarter of an image of the Encore; another portion will be revealed each week leading up to the crossover’s debut in Detroit on January 10.

The first teaser photo of the 2013 Encore showed us a close-up view of the crossover’s grille and headlight, while the new Facebook picture reveals the Buick’s hood and windshield. From what we’ve seen, the baby Buick crossover will wear smooth and elegant lines, along with subtle hood vents, and chrome roof rails. So far, it looks like a scaled-down version of the Enclave.

The company has promised that its newest vehicle will feature “contemporary Buick styling, signature QuietTuning technology, and segment-leading content and space.” The Encore will be a smaller crossover, designed to slot below the Enclave -- both in size and in price. It may be available with both four- and six-cylinder engines.

Look for Buick to reveal more of the 2013 Encore over the next few weeks, with full information to be shared once the crossover is shown at the Detroit show next month. For the latest news surrounding the 2012 Detroit auto show, stay with AutomobileMag.com.

I just read about the Opel Cascada convertable possibly becoming a Buick and I was quite cynical. I said "How could this be! It dosen’t have four doors or look like an SUV is this really GM? Well I guess it is time to be less cynical. Yes this i sa very fine looking automobile and would fit well into the Buick line. Please don’t “Americanize” all the German out of it! Oh darn cynical again." Well back to reality and cynicism, if GM can make yet another SUV Crossover, blah, blah, blah, for $25K why in all that is holy can't they make a coupe at that same price that a young person would buy? The Opel Adam would decimate the mini!
