2011 Buick Regal Priced at $26,995

Interested in the new 2011 Buick Regal? The automaker revealed today that pricing for its latest midsize offering will start at $26,995, including $750 in destination charges -- nearly the same price as a base 2010 LaCrosse.

For the time being, Buick will only offer the Regal in its full-tilt CXL trim. The base CXL is equipped with a 182-hp 2.4-liter I-4, while the more powerful engine -- a 220-hp 2.0-liter I-4 -- brings the sticker price to $29,495. Both cars are paired to a six-speed automatic transmission, although a six-speed manual will eventually be optional on the turbo cars.

As it is a CXL, standard features include 18-inch wheels, leather seats (with heaters for the front passengers), Bluetooth phone connectivity, USB audio input, XM satellite radio, and Onstar. A navigation system and a premium audio system from Harmon Kardon are options.

Buick plans on offering a more modest Regal CX model with a pricetag dipping under $24,000, but for the time being, the CXL remains the only offering for this year. Expect early production models -- built in Germany -- to arrive at dealerships later this spring.
