2009 Dodge Ram

The 2009 Dodge Ram will come out of the gates with up to $1000 in incentives, as it looks to make a strong launch in a tough truck market.

The $1000 incentive will be offered on crew cab and quad cab models of the Ram 1500. The regular cab will carry a $500 incentive. New Rams already come with a lower MSRP and more standard equipment than comparable 2008 models. For instance, a 2009 Ram quad cab SLT lists at $30,375, about $1000 less than a 2008 model, and comes with four-wheel anti-lock brakes and side curtain airbags. Of course, 2008 Rams currently carry as much as $10,500 in incentives, something Dodge wants to avoid with the new trucks.

Dodge has also announced pricing on the truck’s new lockable storage feature. Checking the RamBox option on crew cab models will cost $1895. There had been confusion regarding how much the option would cost, and dealers had been reticent to order them. The feature will not be available at launch because only one factory, Chrysler’s St. Louis truck plant, has the tooling to build trucks equipped with it. ;Source: Automotive News
