The Problem: The shift interlock solenoid in the 2004-2005 and 2007-2009 Toyota Sienna minivan could wear over time, the automaker said today in a statement. That could prevent it from operating correctly, potentially allowing a driver to shift the Toyota Sienna out of Park without their foot on the brake pedal. That could result in the minivan rolling away unexpectedly.
The Fix: Toyota will contact owners and replace the shift interlock solenoid for free in all affected minivans.
Number Of Vehicles Potentially Affected: 615,000 2004-2005 and 2007-2009 Toyota Sienna minivans.
