2015 Jeep Lineup Updated

The 2015 Jeep lineup receives several changes for the new model year, affecting all of the brand's vehicles. In addition to changes to existing model, this year the brand will expand with the launch of the 2015 Jeep Renegade, a compact crossover introduced first at the Geneva auto show and subsequently at the New York auto show.

2015 Jeep Cherokee

After its first year on sale, the biggest change for the 2015 Jeep Cherokee is the addition of engine stop-start technology as standard on the optional 3.2-liter V-6 engine. Models with this feature have a tougher starter motor and stronger flywheel teeth to ensure durability; the system was tested for 300,000 engine stop-start cycles, 2.5 times more than what Jeep asks of standard starter motors. The company has not yet said how much stop-start will improve the Jeep Cherokee's fuel economy.

Other changes for the 2015 Jeep Cherokee concern equipment packaging. Latitude and Trailhawk models now come standard with automatic headlights and a backup camera; the optional Forward Collision Warning Plus now adds a crash mitigation feature that can stop the vehicle if a low-speed crash is imminent; a new SafetyTec package for Latitude, Limited, and Trailhawk models bundles blind-spot and rear cross-path warnings, rear parking sensors, and mirrors with built-in turn signal repeaters; and a new Ventilated/Memory Seat Group package for the Cherokee Trailhawk bundles leather bucket seats with a cooling feature and a memory function.

2015 Jeep Compass

This year, the 2015 Jeep Compass continues to offer its Altitude package as on option, which features a black-gloss grille treatment, black roof rails, black 18-inch wheels, and heated front seats. New for 2015 is a High Altitude package, for four-wheel-drive models with a six-speed automatic transmission, which features leather seats, a sunroof, a power driver's seat, and 17-inch wheels. Navigation is now available as an option on the Compass Latitude, and Eco Green Clear Coat replaces Rugged Brown in the exterior color palette.

2015 Jeep Patriot

The 2015 Jeep Patriot receives mostly the same changes as the Compass. The Altitude appearance package continues, while a new High Altitude pack features leather seats, a sunroof, a power driver's seat, and 17-inch wheels. A Garmin navigation system becomes an option on the Patriot Latitude, and Eco Green Clear Coat replaces the previous Rugged Brown paint color.

2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee

The top-spec 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit and the racy SRT model add an active noise cancellation feature, which reduces ambient noise levels by a claimed 10 decibels. The Summit model also receives acoustic-laminated glass to keep the cabin even quieter. A new Summit California Edition package adds body-color lower body cladding, mirrors, and door handles, as well as platinum chrome accents for the grille, foglight surrounds, and badges, plus 20-inch wheels. The Grand Cherokee SRT continues also adds a Red Vapor package inspired by the Satin Vapor packages shown at the Chicago auto show. It features 20-inch black-chrome wheels, gloss-black badges, a backlit SRT logo on the steering wheel, light chrome instead of the standard bright chrome inside the cabin, Red Radar interior accent pieces, and dark red plastic engine covers.

2015 Jeep Wrangler

The 2015 Jeep Wrangler and Jeep Wrangler Unlimited receive more equipment for the new model year. An eight-speaker sound system with updated sound bar is standard, instead of the prior six-speaker system, and a new 552-watt Alpine sound system with a subwoofer is optional, replacing a 386-watt Alpine system. A new Torx tool kit is standard; it features T-30, T-35, T-40, and T-50 torx heads and a ratchet in a storage pouch, so Wrangler owners can easily remove the SUV's doors and roof. Wrangler Sport models now have an option package with 31-inch Dueler off-road tires on 16-inch gloss-black steel wheels. The Jeep Wrangler will continue to offer the Willys Wheeler package, which is inspired by the original civilian 1945 Willys-Overland Jeep models. Jeep also will reintroduce the Wrangler Freedom Edition, which is a tribute to U.S. military members and features various decals and visual upgrades. For every Wrangler Freedom Edition sold, Jeep will donate $250 to the United Service Organizations charity. For 2015, the Jeep Wrangler color chart adds Baja Yellow, Copper Brown, Firecracker Red, Sunset Orange, and Tank.
