Mad Max: Fury Road Trailer Debuts at Comic-Con

Mad Max is back, and the new trailer for the upcoming Mad Max: Fury Road film shows off some pretty wild action in the Australian desert. Directed by George Miller, this movie will be the fourth in the Mad Max series, following up on the original Mad Max from 1979, Mad Max 2 from 1981, and Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome from 1985.

Of course Max’s legendary Pursuit Special will be heavily featured in this new installment just like it was in the first three films. This supercharged coupe is based on a 1973 Ford Falcon XB GT from the Australian market, but it is heavily modified with an external supercharger and engine block, blacked-out wheels, and lots of survival equipment that’s crucial for living in the post-apocalyptic world of the Mad Max universe.

The trailer also shows off plenty of other wild-looking machines that chase Max and his Pursuit Special through the desert, including seriously modified, Frankenstein-like off-road versions of an old Ford pickup truck, a Mercedes-Benz W123, some 1940s American hot rods, and plenty of giant, menacing semi trucks, all of which explode and flip in spectacular fashion throughout the trailer.

Mad Max: Fury Road, which stars Tom Hardy as Mad Max and also features Charlize Theron, Nicholas Hoult, and Zoe Kravitz, is currently set to premiere May 15, 2015. Until then, check out the trailer below to see some crazy, post-apocalyptic action down under.

stop re-making the same old movie. once you take the main character out and swap with someone else, it will be just another average B or even C ..D movie about nothing special going straight to redbox or netflix (no loger going to blockbuster.)
