Volkswagen is hard at work updating its model portfoilio, and it has already revealed the 2015 Golf, 2015 GTI, 2015 Jetta. VW also confirmed an upcoming three-row crossover targeting the U.S. market. Don’t forget about the rest of Volkswagen’s lineup though, which gets its own set of tweaks for the 2015 model year.
2015 Volkswagen CC
There are very few changes for the 2015 Volkswagen CC, which will carry over from last year with the same attractive looks and 2.0-liter, 200-hp turbo-four. Already a wise choice for the style-conscious, the CC now comes with two new 18-inch wheel options known as Shanghai and St. Louis.
2015 Volkswagen Touareg
The refreshed 2015 Volkswagen Touareg SUV debuted at the 2014 Beijing auto show to announce its arrival into the Chinese market. Front and rear fascia changes are most prominent, while the interior is cleaned up and updated with mobile online services. New driver assistance systems are also coming to the Touareg, namely Lane Assist, Side Assist, adaptive cruise control, and City Emergency Braking. The refreshed Touareg will replace the existing model halfway through the 2015 model year, at the beginning of the 2015 calendar year.
2015 Volkswagen Tiguan
The Tiguan is starting to look a little grizzled compared to some of the new players in the small crossover segment, but it nonetheless receives a few updates for 2015. The 2015 Volkswagen Tiguan gains a standard rearview camera, roof rails, and satellite radio for all trim levels. S and SE trim levels also come with a standard premium touchscreen audio system, while the SE trim alone adds an available panoramic sunroof. Heated from seats and washer nozzles are now available on S and SE trims, for those in colder climates. Volkswagen wants to make the Tiguan a better value, especially given that we won’t likely see a new-generation model for a while off. This version of the crossover debuted in 2009, and if VW keeps to its usual 7-year cycle, the next Tiguan (switching to the MQB platform) won’t roll around in the U.S. until around 2016.
2015 Volkswagen Routan
After a disappointing run, the Chrysler Town & Country-based Routan minivan is no more. There will be no 2015 Volkswagen Routan on sale, although you can still likely pick up a 2014 model from your dealer.
2015 Volkswagen Eos
In this, the final year of the Volkswagen Eos, the convertible adds a new Final Edition trim. The new trim replaces the old Sport trim, now including 18-inch Vicenza wheels, beige and black two-tone Vienna leather seats, contrast stitching, silver net interior trim, and a backup camera with rain-sensing automatic wipers. Komfort and Executive trims add Flash Red color options, while all trims now can be equipped with a new Pure White paint.
