2015 Toyota Sienna Gets a Fresh Coat of Swag

The Swagger Wagon cometh again, looking to build on its reputation as a supa-fly, family-friendly minivan. Refreshed for the new model year, the 2015 Toyota Sienna minivan arrives with updated styling, features, suspension tuning, and aerodynamics.

Most noticeably, the 2015 Toyota Sienna receives improved styling up front. Available LED headlights and daytime running lights pair with a silver mesh grille for a considerably more modern look. The lower section of the front fascia is also new for 2015, with improved aerodynamics and reshaped foglight housings. Around the rear the Sienna also benefits from new, sharp taillights. Underneath, the 2015 Toyota Sienna debuts with the same 266-hp, 3.5-liter V-6 engine as before, but the chassis has been stiffened for better handling.

Parents need their minivans to be a rolling bastion of comfort, versatility, and functionality, and so the 2015 Toyota Sienna adds a few cabin improvements in the way of quality and technology. Available black leather upholstery with white stitching adds a dose of style as well as comfort, while new parent-friendly tech like Toyota’s Driver Easy Speak amplifies the driver’s voice through the speakers so moms and dads can save their voices for yelling at third-row passengers. Toyota also added an additional LATCH location for car-seat installation, bringing the total to four.

The new 2015 Toyota Sienna also gets a more intuitive climate control button layout, as well as a standard panoramic backup camera with handy guidelines for navigating hockey-stick-ridden driveways. Turn-by-turn directions displayed on the optional 4.2-inch color display built into the instrument panel will help keep parents focused ahead, while an available pull-down mirror makes checking on the munchkins simple.

Although crossovers are now the most popular kind of vehicles sold in the U.S. today, there is still a convincing argument to be made for the all-purpose utility and functionality of a good old-fashioned minivan. The 2015 Toyota Sienna doesn’t look old-fashioned at all, however. From a parent’s perspective, it gets a fresh coat of swag.
