The 2015 Land Rover LR4 now offers built-in integration with popular smartphone apps. Users who download the Land Rover InControl software for Apple or Android phones can now use several apps through the SUV's built-in infotainment system.
The list of apps that work with InControl in the 2015 Land Rover LR4 comprises iHeartRadio, Stitcher, Glympse, Sygic, Parkopedia, Hotelseeker, Cityseeker, Eventseeker, News on Board, MobileDay, and Winston. The Land Rover InControl app already allowed owners to find information about their car remotely, such as fuel level and whether the windows were left open, and it can automatically dial emergency services if the airbags deploy in a crash.
There are also a handful of minor trim changes for the 2015 Land Rover LR4, consisting of the addition of a new 20-inch wheel design, four new exterior colors, the addition of side steps as standard, and the availability of ebony/cirrus two-tone leather upholstery.
As a result of the tweaks, 2015 Land Rover LR4 pricing increases slightly. The standard LR4 model now costs $51,325 with destination, up $730 from last year, while the LR4 HSE is $56,225 and the LR4 HSE LUX costs $61,525.
The Land Rover LR4 received more extensive changes last year. For 2014, the SUV swapped its aging 5.0-liter V-8 engine for a 340-hp, 3.0-liter supercharged V-6 and an eight-speed automatic transmission, improving fuel economy from 12/17 mpg (city/highway) to 14/19 mpg.
