A new teaser video hints that there are changes in store for the 2015 Ford Focus ST. The hot hatch is slated to receive a refresh at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in the U.K. this Friday.
There are few clues so far as to what tweaks are planned for the 2015 Ford Focus ST. However, the standard version of the Focus has already been revised; the 2015 Ford Focus hatchback debuted at the Geneva auto show and the sedan followed at the New York auto show. Both of those cars received new noses that more closely hew to Ford's current design language, a redone interior with tweaks like better cup holders and a "simpler" switch layout, and the addition of tech features like blind-spot warning, lane-keep assist, and a heated steering wheel. We wouldn't be surprised to see most of those options become available on the 2015 Ford Focus ST, too.
It's less clear whether the hot hatch, which was one of our 2013 All-Stars, will receive any performance upgrades. Despite spy photos showing a Focus ST with different exhausts, larger brakes, and new wheels, Ford has yet to confirm development of a hotter RS version. For now, expect the 2015 Ford Focus ST to continue with its 2.0-liter EcoBoost turbo-four engine rated at 252 hp, likely without any significant changes to its lively chassis, strong brakes, and willing six-speed manual transmission.
Although it doesn't offer much more information about the planned revisions to the car, check out the video below to get a preview of a bright-yellow 2015 Ford Focus ST in action on a winding test track.
