Recalls: 2013 Cadillac SRX, 2015 GM Heavy-Duty Trucks

2013 Cadillac SRX

The Problem: 2013 Cadillac SRX crossovers can experience a three-to-four second acceleration lag. The issue stems from a transmission control module calibration. If a driver accelerates and the car shifts up from first to second gear at about 8-10 mph, then brakes to less than 5 mph, and then accelerates again, a delay in power could result and increase the risk of a crash.

The Fix: All vehicles involved will be repaired under warranty. Dealers are instructed to reprogram the transmission control module.

Number of Vehicles Potentially Affected: 50,571 2013 Cadillac SRX crossovers.

2015 Chevrolet Silverado HD, GMC Sierra HD

The Problem: In certain 2015 Chevrolet Silverado HD and GMC Sierra HD vehicles, the fuel pipe nuts on either side of the diesel fuel transfer pump could be improperly torqued. If the connections are too loose, a leak could result, potentially starting a fire if an ignition source were present.

The Fix: When the recall begins on May 19, dealers will torque the fuel pipe nuts to the proper specifications. All vehicles will still be covered under warranty, so the fix will come at no cost to owners.

Number of Vehicles Potentially Affected: Just 51 2015 Chevrolet Silverado HD and GMC Sierra HD vehicles will need to be inspected and possibly repaired.
