2015 Dodge Charger, Challenger Up For Grabs In Motley Crue Contest

Fans of rear-wheel-drive sports cars and the band Mötley Crüe will no doubt want to pay heed to Dodge's newest promotional venture. In a campaign called the Dodge Chance to Be Bad Giveaway, the automaker will give away a free car, as well as the opportunity to meet Mötley Crüe.

Music and car fans enter online at the Chance to Be Bad website, and earn additional entries into the giveaway when they share the giveaway link on social media websites. The winners get to pick between receiving a brand-new 2015 Dodge Charger or a 2015 Dodge Challenger, and also receive VIP tickets to a Mötley Crüe concert in the brand's "Final Tour" this summer. Other prizes for the winner include autographed guitars, a chance to meet the band members, and $400 to spend in the Mötley Crüe online store.

"The 2015 Dodge Charger and Challenger are the ultimate American muscle cars just as the much anticipated Mötley Crüe 'Final Tour' is the ultimate high octane music event of the summer," Dodge brand CEO Tim Kuniskis explained in a statement. The partnership also resulted in Dodge using parts of the Crüe song, "Kickstart My Heart" in several television commercials.

Redesigned versions of both the 2015 Dodge Charger and the 2015 Dodge Challenger were introduced at the 2014 New York auto show earlier this month. The 2015 Dodge Charger benefits from a thorough facelift that includes new exterior sheet metal, an interior refresh, and various equipment changes. Tweaks to the 2015 Dodge Challenger include a less extensive facelift, as well as a new Scat Pack model boasting 485 hp and 475 lb-ft of torque from a 6.4-liter V-8 engine.

Shoppers who can't wait for the 2015 cars can also take advantage of a unique one-year lease opportunity. Dodge announced that customers who lease a 2014 Charger or Challenger for one year will have the opportunity to upgrade to a 2015 model for no additional cost when their lease ends. The idea is to get buyers into the current car while they wait for the 2015 to hit showrooms, and then allow them to easily upgrade in one year's time.
