Bugatti Institutes Certified Pre-Owned Program

With production of the Bugatti Veyron supercar firmly capped at 450 vehicles, the renowned French speed demon is as rare as it is thrilling. In order to help currently owned vehicles hold their immense value and to ensure new vehicles get the attention they deserve throughout their lifetimes, Bugatti is creating a certified quality program for new and pre-owned Veyron vehicles.

Bugatti will announce its new program, Bugatti Certified, at the Techno Classica car show in Essen, Germany at the end of March. Bugatti Certified includes a complete service program for Veyron vehicles, which includes comprehensive maintenance and technical updates.

“A Bugatti is purchased as a collector’s item,” said board member Stefan Brungs in a statement. “To honor the trust placed in us and to ensure the lasting value of this automotive icon is our highest priority.”

With its roughly $2.91-million price tag, the 1200-hp Bugatti Veyron (the original 1000-hp models have totally sold out) is a massive luxury investment. No doubt buyers want to be sure that their luxury commodity retains its value, and the Bugatti Certified program should help do just that.

Fewer than 45 new Bugatti Veyrons are still up for grabs, and the only unsold versions that remain are Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport Vitesse roadsters. Most recently introduced was the Rembrandt Bugatti Legend car, which is part of the Legends of Bugatti six-part series. The next Bugatti down the road will likely be an even more insane successor to the Veyron, after news surfaced that the super-luxury Galibier performance sedan was canceled.
