Now in its 15th year of partnership with the Texas King Ranch, Ford revealed three new King Ranch edition models for the 2015 model year. Texas state photographer Wyman Meinzer helped celebrate the occasion with an honorary photo shoot, depicting King Ranch versions of the 2015 Ford F-150, 2015 Ford F-Series Super Duty, and 2015 Ford Expedition at their eponymous Texas locale.

Ford says that special edition’s new exterior and interior colors, premium-trim equipment, and unique wheels were designed to reflect the character and conditions of King Ranch. “It’s a very majestic place that makes you feel at home no matter where you’re from,” said Ford color and materials designer Aileen Brraza, in a statement. “You can’t help but be comfortable right away with genuine luxury that is earned through hard work.”

Customers can choose either monotone or two-tone paint for all Ford King Ranch models, with edition-specific Premium Brown Mesa leather on the interior. Exterior colors will include Caribou, Guard, Bronze Fire, and Ruby Red Metallic, with Caribou serving as the accent color on the bumpers, grille, and running boards of two-tone vehicles. Twenty-inch aluminum wheels with painted trim and King Ranch center caps are also included in the special edition line, with 22-inch polished aluminum wheels available for King Ranch Ford Expedition models.

Inside the King Ranch 2015 Ford F-150, Super Duty, and Expedition is where the majority of changes can be found, including premium leather trim and a leather steering wheel. King Ranch steering wheel inserts and floormats further distinguish King Ranch vehicles, while a woodgrain instrument panel comes with King Ranch Ford Expedition models.

Look for the Ford King Ranch special edition when the 2015 Ford F-150, Super Duty, and Expedition hit showrooms toward the end of 2014.

I don't feel that this truck should be as prevalent as it is. I will admit that there are people who need a truck like this for their lifestyle/work, but the majority of those who own it do so for the status symbol. It is a bad idea economically and environmentally speaking.... I just wish people would fairly assess their situation and only consume what they need.
