Mini has always appealed to buyers looking for a little more pop and personality. With the new series of accessories available on the 2014 Mini Cooper, the opportunity for customization is greater than ever before. Once Mini’s latest line of audacious additions joins the live build site, we’re prepared to spend at least a whole weekend creating the ridiculous 2014 Mini Cooper of our dreams.
As before, there is an expansive range of specialty parts and accessories. Mirror caps, side scuttles, roof graphics and door sill covers are still on the menu, but Mini also will now offer special details like center hub cap finishes in red, orange, green or yellow. Also available are a wide array of side graphics, sun protection elements, car covers, luggage and equipment carriers, and key lanyards.
The biggest change however, comes with the availability of four specific Mini design lines. With the Vivid Green, John Cooper Works Pro, Speedwell Blue, and Essential Black accessory designs, it is now possible to outfit your Mini with a full package of matching details. Notable accessories include floor mats, mirror caps, side graphics, roof graphics, side scuttles, and much more. If you’re trying to get your kid hooked early on Mini motoring, we urge you to consider the Union Jack baby seat.
New for the 2014 Mini Cooper and Cooper S is a set of 18-inch light-alloy wheels, while the multi-spoke 17-inchers standard for the Cooper S are still available. A new 1.5-liter three-cylinder turbo engine powers the base 2014 Mini Cooper, while the Cooper S uses a 2.0-liter turbo-four that makes 189 hp. The new Mini is the first of many BMW-built front-wheel-drive models on the horizon, including the BMW 2-Series Active Tourer.
Starting price for the 2014 Mini Cooper is $20,745 and $24,395 for the Cooper S. Both models are on sale now. Pricing and availability for all the accessories has yet to be announced.
