2014 Dodge Journey SE V-6 AWD Priced at $25,890

Previously only available on the Dodge Journey SXT trim and above, all-wheel-drive capability and a 283-hp Pentastar V-6 engine will now be available on the 2014 Dodge Journey SE. Starting at $25,890 after destination, the new trim level makes all-wheel drive and the V-6 available for $1800 less than before, which should help the 2014 Dodge Journey continue last year’s all-time best sales.

Keyless entry, push-button start, a 4.3-inch touchscreen display, power heated mirrors, and LED taillights all come standard on the all-wheel-drive 2014 Dodge Journey SE V-6. Upgrading to the $1800 more expensive SXT trim level adds 17-inch aluminum wheels, sportier front and rear fascias with front fog lamps, and satellite radio.

Other mid-size crossovers with seven passenger seating, all-wheel drive, and a V-6 engine cost significantly more than the new Dodge Journey SE. So equipped, a 2014 Kia Sorento totals $28,395 and a 2014 Hyundai Santa Fe totals $32,325. Both models use a 3.3-liter V-6 making 290 hp and 252 lb-ft of torque.

The 2014 Dodge Journey’s all-wheel-drive system delivers power to the front wheels at all times, and sends it rear wheels as necessary. When the front wheels slip in low-traction conditions, or as a means of improving handling during cornering, the Journey will automatically activate all-wheel-drive functionality.

The 2014 Dodge Journey SE V-6 AWD is on sale now. All-wheel-drive is also available on the new, pricier 2014 Dodge Journey Crossroad, which goes on sale this spring after it debuted earlier this year in Chicago.

I have absolutely no idea why I've always liked the Journey! But offering AWD and the V-6 in the SE base level makes sense! It makes more sense than a van to me!!! And we're on our third van!! Maybe next time!!!!
