Chevrolet Corvette Owners Get Driving School Discount

If you’ve recently purchased a brand new 2014 Chevrolet Corvette, chances are you’re feeling great about your decision. With a base price of just $53,995, the 455-hp Corvette (460 hp with the optional performance exhaust) has the capability, character, and affordability to make it arguably the best performance value on the market. As it turns out, the new Corvette just might be the gift that keeps on giving.

Chevrolet today announced that it will offer new Corvette owners a $1500 discount to the Ron Fellows Performance Driving School. Entry to the school, located at the Spring Mountain Motor Resort in Pahrump, Nevada, will now cost just $1000 for total instruction on how to get the most performance out of the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette.

Former Corvette racer and Corvette Hall of Fame inductee Ron Fellows operates his namesake school, which teaches drivers of all skill levels. “Our goal is to ensure every driver leaves with enhanced driving skills, more confidence on the street and track and, most of all, a deeper understanding of his or her Corvette’s capabilities and how to safely enjoy the car to the fullest,” said Fellows in a statement.

The $1500 discount is valid for one year after purchase of a new Corvette, and it is applicable only to the car’s original owner. Fortunately, if you want to attend the school but can’t bring your own ride all the way to Nevada, the school provides its students with a fleet of Corvette Stingrays to borrow for track use. The program includes class instruction as well as seat time in the Corvette Stingray on Spring Mountain’s 2.2-mile road course.

Critics and customers alike are raving about the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, which we named our 2014 Automobile of the Year. In fact, demand has climbed to such an extent that Chevrolet jacked up the car’s starting price $2000 over the original $51,995, including destination. The price hike makes the driving school discount seem like less of a steal for new buyers, but five joyous minutes behind the wheel of a new Corvette would effectively quash all of that negativity.

Buyers of the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette convertible are also privy to the Stingray School discount. A Corvette spokesperson assures us that, “all new Corvette owners are eligible. We don’t discriminate.”
