2015 Audi TT Spied Again

2015 Audi TT Side

Ahead of its expected debut at the upcoming 2014 Geneva auto show, the 2015 Audi TT was caught out testing in wintry weather. This most recent roll of spy shots show that the car remains heavily camouflaged, although its size and proportions are a little more discernible in light of the recent debut of the Audi Allroad Shooting Brake concept at the 2014 Detroit auto show.

In profile, the 2015 Audi TT and Audi Allroad Shooting Brake look to be almost identical from the side doors forward. The two vehicles share the same smoothly sloping roof, long windshield, and crescent-shaped windows, although the view from head-on differs slightly. From what we can see, the concept has larger front intakes than the 2015 Audi TT, as well as a fully-unified grille rather than the split-trapezoid shape on the TT. From the rear the TT does its most convincing Audi R8 impression, enticing onlookers with its extended rear glass, low decklid, wide fenders, and distinctive gridded taillights.

The 2015 Audi TT’s interior, first revealed at the 2014 Consumer Electronics Show, will be identical to the one seen on the Audi Allroad concept at the 2014 Detroit auto show. Designers decided to abandon the centrally-mounted screen setup, moving forward with an integrated multifunction digital instrument cluster, as well as unique tricks like putting the climate controls inside the air vents.

The 2015 Audi TT will drop as much as 132 lbs thanks to its new weight-saving MQB architecture, offering a range of turbocharged engines including a 1.8-liter four-cylinder, a 2.0-liter four-cylinder, a 2.0-liter turbodiesel, and a range-topping 2.5-liter inline-five. Both front and all-wheel-drive will be available on new 2015 Audi TT models, and it is entirely possible that a plug-in hybrid version could be introduced during the sports coupe’s life cycle. Audi featured a 402-hp powertrain in the Allroad Shooting Brake concept, combining a 2.0-liter turbo-four with a pair of electric motors and a six-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
