2014 Scion FR-S and tC Monogram Series Debut at 2014 Detroit Auto Show

The 2014 Scion FR-S and Scion tC gain another one of the brand’s many special editions with the Monogram Series package for 2014 that will debut at the 2014 Detroit auto show. Adding mostly luxury features to Scion’s two sports coupes, the Monogram Series cars will be sold in relatively limited numbers (2000 FR-S and 2500 tC vehicles) and can be optioned in any of the standard body colors with either six-speed manual or automatic transmissions.

Whereas the Subaru BRZ was initially pitched as the more luxurious of the Toyobaru twins, this Monogram package adds previously unavailable features to the 2014 Scion FR-S like push-button start, leather and Alcantara-trimmed seats, automatic climate control, heated front seats, and a frameless rearview mirror. The BeSpoke premium audio and navigation system that’s optional on other FR-S models is also standard on the Monogram Series.

The 2014 Scion FR-S Monogram Series also looks slightly different on the outside with its rear spoiler and HID headlights. All of this can be had for $28,155 for the manual and $29,255 for the automatic, with destination charges. That’s $2700 more than the standard FR-S.

The 2014 Scion tC Monogram Series offers similar upgrades, starting with the same BeSpoke premium audio and navigation system, heated leather seats, a leather shift knob, a rear window wiper, upgraded interior door and center console trim, and push-button start. The 2014 Scion tC Monogram Edition with a six-speed manual costs $22,155 and the automatic model is $23,155; both of these prices represent a $2190 jump up from the standard 2014 Scion tC.

The 2014 Scion FR-S and tC Monogram Series models go on sale in February and will be shown next week at the 2014 Detroit auto show.
